This term our topic is, ‘The British Empire’. This is an exciting topic all about the rise and fall of the British Empire, what made it so successful and how it eventually came to an end.
In literacy, we will begin by looking at myths and legends. Our focus will be on Robin Hood. The children will have the opportunity to become familiar with this famous outlaw and to rewrite this legend- with a twist. Next we will look at newspaper reports and become mini journalists. A very exciting term of writing and learning.
During Science this term, our new topic is ‘light’. I am sure the children are going to love the hands on learning involved in such an interesting science topic. There will certainly be a lot of practical work and investigations.
You can find out about the learning we have planned for the weeks ahead in our Class Newsletter.
