All schools have a Governing Body whose job it is to work with the Head Teacher, the Local Authority and the Diocese to ensure that pupils receive the best possible education at that establishment. Their main function is to raise standards by monitoring progress against the targets they set.
The governing body meets regularly and works with the head teacher and the staff to decide the school's aims and policies and to oversee the efficient running of the school. It is the Governor’s responsibility to ensure that all pupils have a full entitlement to the agreed curriculum and managing the school within its allocated budget.
