Key Acheivements to date

Sport has continued in school through lockdown and timetabled activities have been engaged with at home by the majority of children. Our Sports Coach led online PE videos that were amended to allow for any barriers faced by the lack of outdoor space or equipment. For example, using a metal tray instead of a racket to bounce a ball.
Children since returning to school have PE timetabled for 2 hours per week and time has been saved with children not needing to change clothing.

Due to Covid regulations and learning from home, we have been unable to take part in our usual competitions, however, we still provided weekly physical challenges online.
The PE Curriculum Leader has led activities at the start of the day and during playtimes to encourage active lifestyles and class teachers have provided physical the daily mile for their children for wellbeing. The KS2 trim trail is used at all playtimes and the children enjoy using the MUGA.

All bubbles were provided with playground activity sets and this has improved the level of physical engagement at breaktimes.

The School also achieved the gold award in an active travel scheme by encouraging the children to get to school in an active way.
